As area senior citizens add an increasing number of candles to their birthday cakes, the Montgomery Area Council on Aging has remained steadfast for 35 years in providing services to them that promote independent living, offer opportunities to enhance quality of life and increase awareness of senior issues.

The state's biggest winery may come to Branson when Branson Ridge Winery & Marketplace opens in spring 2009 as scheduled, the company announced recently. Plans call for a 35,000-square-foot winery and marketplace complex, which will vie for the title of the state's largest, a news release said.
